Lisa and Suzy’s Portsmouth NH Engagement Session

Where do I even begin to tell you about Lisa and Suzy? When Dan and I first met them this past February, we met quite possibly the most welcoming people in the world. Even though we were there to talk business and find out if we were going to be a good fit for their wedding, Dan and I felt an almost immediate comfort around them, like they were hosting us, even in a restaurant. When we left that night, Dan and I felt like we had stumbled into an unforgettable relationship and we were blessed to not only know them, but to be able to photograph their wedding this July.

After 18 years together, Lisa and Suzy will officially tie the knot in Portsmouth NH and we cannot wait to be there to not only photography it, but to see two of our friends marry one another.

For their engagement session, we met them at the Venue where they will be holding their reception and got to see the place up close and personal before the big day. After the rooftop fun, we headed to their house and met their two dogs, and got to just spend time with them while they did what they do, which is honestly the most genuine place for couple to be. It was a pleasure.

We make photographs that tell the truth by becoming close to you and your story.

They are officially the couple who has been together the longest that we have had the honor of photographing a wedding for. It was one of the most heartfelt yet relaxed weddings that we have been to. They got ready together, and then walked hand in hand to their ceremony at the Moffatt-Ladd House & Gardens. During the vow exchange, Suzy cracked a joke that had everyone in the place laughing and then as the ceremony progressed, they had everyone crying tears of joy. It was a momentous ceremony, since they were only able to marry legally very recently. After a receiving line filled with hugs and tears, Lisa and Suzy headed up to their cocktail hour and reception at The 100 Club. It was classy, fun, and seemed to be a room filled with people who all love one another. I hope we were able to fulfill their only photography request, “We would like the candid photos to reflect the best party we ever threw!” Well done Lisa and Suzy! […]
