A very Maine wedding that didn’t even involve the ocean? Yup! Rachel and Ryan did it and we were impressed. First, Rachel got ready at an Airbnb in the Old Port of Portland, which felt very Maine-y to me. It’s rare we get to work in the Old Port for a wedding so it was fun to be downtown in the hustle. Then we headed out to Scarborough to Broadturn Farm, a local flower farm. We see their flowers so often living here. They are even sold in bouquets at our local grab and go neighborhood grocer. Heck, they did the flowers for the wedding we did the weekend before!! It was so fun to see a wedding held on their property and man o MAN did Rachel and Ryan do it beautifully.
We met at the farm for their first look, which began the rest of the wedding day’s events. It also marked the start of Rachel laughing almost the whole rest of the day. These two were SO easy to photograph because they literally just laughed and kissed and hugged and smiled with each other the whole time.
The ceremony was officiated by one of their best friends and then the party began: never-ending dinner and drinks and hugs. What more could you ask for really?
