Dan did this session all by his lonesome. I was on vacation with my BFF in Iceland (blog post incoming soooooon). It was also the hottest day that Dan can remember, so he says.
Also… there is a pug.

These smiles yall. Look at these smiles.
When you are this happy to have found each other, it’s kinda hard to not show it on your face 24/7. Can’t you just feel it through these photos? Boy, are we lucky to have this kind of joy in front of our cameras. It makes us look good.
Krishna and Mike, we loved you two and we are so happy you spend these two hours with us, frolicking like twitterpated love bugs.
Covid had us reeling to find a new place to photograph when Maine passed a mask mandate for the outdoors last fall. We had one warm day and moved the session to NH for our last minute engagement session with Sarah and Justin, mere weeks before their wedding. What a year 2020 was right? Photographing Sarah and Justin was a pleasure though. They love love love each other, know who they are, and are confident. What could be better??
The sunset rewarded our scrambling with a purple and blue beauty for our final photos of the evening. Thank you New Hampshire!
You know those couples who just seem to really enjoy each others company? Well we got that vibe big time when we spent a couple hours with them in Acadia last fall. They just kept laughing and making jokes, and having an all around good time, even in the midst of having their photo taken, which is a notoriously weird feeling. When we have a session like this, it always gets me excited and more comfortable with the idea of photographing a couples wedding. I just love having that in-person confirmation that these people are cool people and that we are going to have a good time on the wedding day. Kelly and Zach… I know its been a while, and we have a while to go BUT we are stoked to be there with you when the day arrives.
Look. Photographing engagement moments is stressful and take a lot of planning. As a policy, we dont anymore.
And then Dani reached out and got under our skin in a good way. We just WANTED to be a part of this and so we said yes. It was a good decision too, because we loved these two and were so happy we got to be a part of it.
