Portland Maine Engagement: Liz and Sam

Engagement sessions are so fun every time because we can get to know our couples in a less “high-stakes” environment than their wedding. Liz and Sam came up with some ideas for places to go in town, and if you can believe it, they took us to NEW places! That it always the most exciting… finding new places in your hometown. We took them to some of our own favorite spots for photos too so it was all around exciting for everyone.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was when Liz went a little wild and jumped around on the dock at the end of the session. When you get goofy with your photos, it makes our hearts SING!

Backyard Engagement Session: Kathryn and Fede

It a few very short weeks, these two are going to get married. They are one of the few couples we had booked for 2020 that kept the same wedding date and venue and just made plans for a smaller event. It was probably a little easier for them since… the venue is her parent’s backyard. We met up with them on a hot summer evening to take some engagement photos with them in the same spot that we get to come back to for the wedding. Super sweet. Super chill. Super cute. Just what we like.

Cape Elizabeth Maine Engagement Session: Tori and Dave

Tori and Dave are cute eh? These two we met via mutual friends and we are so glad we did. The bummer thing is, right when we were getting to know them, they moved to Boston. Whomp Whomp. The move was a big deal for both of their careers though so we are stoked for them in that respect BUT I sure do miss Tori’s perspective in our book club.

We did find some time last fall to slip in a mini-engagement session with them since they are planning a wedding and all… 😉

Two Lights State Park Engagement Session: Marisa and Heath

Remember the fall and all the lovely colors? Let’s go back in our minds shall we? Fall is a time where we end up doing so so many of our engagement sessions. These two were so dang fun to work with because they were DOWN for some wacky ideas. Because of those chill vibes, I was personally able to create at least three images that scratched my wacky photographer itch, which is huge. Sometimes I only get 5-10 a year! See if you can spot them.

We, of course, got some classics with them because we love those just as much, but I will be forever grateful to them for being so open with my creative-ness… and to Dan for helping me work it out when my brain felt like it was cracking.

Yay!!!

Boothbay Maine Engagement Session

Mid-coast Maine is always a good idea for engagement photos. These two rented a cute Airbnb in East Boothbay and we met them and their sweet pup for a chilled out engagement session. We not only got some coastal vibes in, but we also went on a teensy weensy hike and got to photograph in a coastal forest. We rarely get into the woods with our cameras because (understandably) everyone wants some ocean photos. This was super fun for us! Yay summer…
