Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston Wedding: Sara and Dave

One of the most fun parts of being a wedding photographer is being able to meet and get to know so many people who we genuinely fall for! Sara and Dave are two of those people that we are so so thankful to have met and gotten to know. We knew their wedding was going to be unforgettable, one of those weddings that makes us pinch ourselves when we remember just how magical it really was to be there.

Sara and Dave are madly crazily wildly in love. Their wedding was big and fun and sparkly and glamorous and all the wonderful things a wedding can be, but its important to note that their love never got lost in the details of the day. The orchid bouquet, red lipstick, and diamond drop earrings had Sara looking fiiiiiiiine. Tuxedos for all the menfolk and evening gowns on the ladies made for a black tie event. Gold and Clementine colors sparkled in the reception, which was decorated to the nines. We were overwhelmed with the glitz and glamour!

One of my favorite moments of the day was actually at the very end of the reception. The guests formed a circle around Sara and Dave spontaneously, and they danced in the center of the circle to a romantic epic song, surrounded by the people they love most in the world. It wasn’t staged or set up. It was just one of those perfect wedding moments that we live for.

Beacon Hill Engagement Session: Sara and Mike

Yay!!! We are so excited to share Sara and Mike’s engagement photos with you guys today! They are adorable as you can see. We met them in Beacon Hill and hit up a few spots Sara had in mind. Then we walked over to the always beautiful esplanade. It was a perfect Boston summer evening. I swear Sara was pulling a huge smile or an authentic laugh almost the entire time. It was a BREEZE to take photos of them because of that. One other detail I could not get enough of was the fact that each time Mike talked to her, he called her by his pet name for her instead of “Sara.” I melted.

Alex and Val’s Boston Engagement Session

I am racking my brain to think of another couple that we have photographed that was even close to the kissy snuggly twitter-pated levels that Val and Alex brought to this session. I felt like we were meeting them two weeks after the fell in love. Remember that feeling…when you are just buzzing with crazy love for your new boyfriend or girlfriend? That “I literally cannot get enough of you” feeling? It seemed like these two were still in it! He would hug her close and she bit her lip. We would stop taking pictures to make some adjustments and they would just keep on snuggling and kissing. It was a-dor-a-ble! We basically didnt have to give them any direction other than “stand here” and “stand there.”

They are getting married this weekend and we can only imagine how romantic it will be.

Meghan and Devin’s Boston MA Wedding

It was our first wedding of the season and we could not imagine a better way to start things off. Classic. Elegant. Simple. Small. Classy. All great things.

Meghan and Devin were married at the Central Bistro in downtown crossing in Boston. They got ready at the Nine Zero Hotel nearby, choosing to have their first look there. The ceremony was so heartfelt, with a poem by her sister, and sweet stories shared that left most all of us in happy tears. One of my favorite moments of the night was the couples first dance. The song, “Angels” by The XX was a incredible choice paired with their choreographed and elegant dance, complete with a deep dip at the end. It was a great picture for me of who these two are as a couple, besides what I knew up to that point leading up to this day. At the end of the night, we headed out into the street for some night portraits. I loved the colors outside and especially the happiness that the sight of Meghan and Devin gave to passerbyers. Who doesnt love a Bride and Groom? I know I do!

Amy and Dan’s Waltham MA Engagement Session

Bubble Gum, Street Art, and old Watch Factory, a parking deck, a river dock, and a painted blue line… this was Amy and Dan’s Waltham engagement session! I feel like we really did just walk around their town and get to know them, all the while making some fun photos for the two of them before their wedding which is taking place TOMORROW!

Due to some weird airplane circumstances traveling from Raleigh NC to DC to Boston via lots of delays and really strange reasons, Dan arrived to the session halfway through, thanks to a last minute favor from our friend Jimmy of Prudente Photography. (THANKS JIMMY!) It was not a typical session and I felt pretty vulnerable since they were witness to that discombobulation that happens when you have to meet up in a parking lot with a doggie and a husband who haven’t seen me, the wife, for 15 days. We were weird and excited and just 100% real life us. Sometimes letting people see behind the curtain while you are working is hard but there was no way around it and I feel like it brought the four of us closer. Huge kudos for Amy and Dan for rolling with the punches. We are SO excited to see you tomorrow.Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo Waltham MA Engagement Photo
