Cape Elizabeth Maine Post-Wedding Session: Caleigh and Sean

Caleigh and Sean had a different plan for their wedding, including Turks and Caicos. 😩 They still wanted to get married though no matter what. They had a tiny legal ceremony at a Justice of the Peace’s house(!) and then drove up to Maine for some photos with us, to commemorate their wedding. This year has been a serious downer for so many of our clients but we can’t stress enough how important it is to still honor your relationship and do what your hearts need… and for Caleigh and Sean, that was to get married.

Portland Maine Engagement Session: Don and Erin

Remember snow? Yeah it’s totally a thing here. That being said, right now my windows are open, I’m wearing a mini-skirt, and the birds are chirping. Thinking back to the super cold though, I remember that late afternoon we got to spend with Don and Erin, the day before they went to the courthouse for a private ceremony to get married. This session really was about as “engagement session-y” as you could be. It was essentially their rehearsal dinner!

When I say Erin was shy… what I mean is… Erin is really shy. Like she wouldnt look at our camera and hid her face in the Don’s arms at first. This was actually really cool for us because we got to experience photographing in a different way. Focusing on letting her be herself and shy, while making her as comfortable as possible. You’ll see…

Cape Elizabeth Maine Intimate Wedding: Julie and Chuck

Julie and Chuck are crazy about each other and they just wanted to get married. There was a complete focus on that one thing on their wedding day, which is always my favorite. Of course they had lovely flowers and jewelry and fancy clothes, delicious food and close friends and family… but the focus of the day was on becoming husband and wife. Isn’t that what is supposed to be about?

We met them at their rented beachside house and then we all headed downstairs to the living room for their rainy day wedding. There were dogs wandering around and getting puppy kisses and pets, right in the middle of exchanging rings and human kisses. After the ceremony we went outside for some portraits and then before we knew it, it was time for us to leave and let them enjoy sweet family time.

Cape Elizabeth Maine Engagement Session: Tori and Dave

Tori and Dave are cute eh? These two we met via mutual friends and we are so glad we did. The bummer thing is, right when we were getting to know them, they moved to Boston. Whomp Whomp. The move was a big deal for both of their careers though so we are stoked for them in that respect BUT I sure do miss Tori’s perspective in our book club.

We did find some time last fall to slip in a mini-engagement session with them since they are planning a wedding and all… 😉

Oceanside Intimate Wedding: Tatyana and Nick

Do not be deceived by Tatyana’s pint-sized cuteness. She’s a badass Marine, who is marrying another badass Marine in Nick. Boom. Photographing our military is always fun to do. I mean, who doesn’t love a uniform? Classy y’all. These two had a teensy weensy wedding right on the coast of Maine. The only guests were their immediate family, who were all so sweet. After the ceremony, the four of us walked around in the woods and on the rocks to take some more fun portraits. Before we knew it, they were off for a celebration dinner. Tiny weddings are just so good.
