Pine Point Beach Maine Wedding: Alicia and Brandon

Happy getaway/wedding to these two. Hailing from far away, Buffalo NY, they stole away to sweet sweet Maine to elope. Proper.

We met them at an Airbnb, walked across the street to the ocean, and there they got married. Just like that. We spend a few hours with them taking photos in a new spot for us, which we really really liked. Super Maine-y if you ask me. Then… just like that, (I know I’ve said that twice now but it really did feel FAST), we were hugging them goodbye and wishing them well in their marriage. Also… can we just take in the sparkle of Alicia’s dress, please. Wow. Wow. Wow. and wow again. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the song I ALWAYS hear in my head when I think of Alicia! What a gem. <3

York Maine Wedding: Laura and Craig

When you are happy happy happy to get married, this is what it looks like. Puppies. Family. Laughs. Smiles. Bear Hugs. Good food. Good drinks. I mean other than personally owning this mansion by the sea, I don’t really know what else you could want. For Dan and I, this was a wonderful gentle re-entry into photographing weddings in the post-2020 world. Kind people and lots and lots of real love.

Don’t miss the face that Craig makes when he sees Laura walking down the aisle btw. Iconic.

Cape Elizabeth Maine Engagement Session: Tori and Dave

Tori and Dave are cute eh? These two we met via mutual friends and we are so glad we did. The bummer thing is, right when we were getting to know them, they moved to Boston. Whomp Whomp. The move was a big deal for both of their careers though so we are stoked for them in that respect BUT I sure do miss Tori’s perspective in our book club.

We did find some time last fall to slip in a mini-engagement session with them since they are planning a wedding and all… 😉

Sunday River Wedding: Colleen and Chris

…and so it begins… our 2019 wedding season!

Colleen and Chris are so chill yall. So so chill and easy going. I felt instantly at ease when we arrived. Colleen even said to me that she didn’t care about any of the details… just the people. Our assignment for the day was just to photograph all the people that she and Chris love and not worry about any of the other “stuff” of the day. I have to admit it was a refreshing feeling. These two were just so happy to be getting married. Since it was May the fourth, there was a lot of Star Wars references, like homemade Star Wars blasters and lightsabers, which were quite impressive. Couples who nerd together, stay together. <3 Enjoy wedding #1 of our 2019 season!

Sebago Lake Engagement Session: Mariah and Roger

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times. We love photographing couples in meaningful places. Mariah and Roger chose a family property, right on Sebago Lake, to have their engagement session. They upped the ante by bringing along their two dogs, Peaches and Otter. Next, they added lots of laughs and snuggles and love. It was just the right recipe for a really joyful experience.

I felt instantly comfortable around them and had a genuinely good time making these images with them. The session went by so quickly for me, and before I knew it we were into the blue hour, having lost the sun way too early for my taste. At least the moon was up and the light was still fun to work with.

Besides being a wonderful session in the first place, we will never ever forget this one because right at the end of the night, WE DROPPED OUR CAMERA IN THE LAKE! Mariah looked completely horrified and I was more concerned with making her feel better while Dan went swimming to retrieve the camera. Thank goodness for insurance and positive attitudes 😉

Honestly… worth it.
