We rarely photograph rehearsal dinner’s but its really nice to be able to meet everyone the evening before. We get to connect with the inner circle people like Moms and Dads without the added stress of the wedding itself. French’s Point is also a SUPER beautiful venue so we love being able to work there for anything!

House Island Maine Rehearsal Dinner: Liz and Max

Dan and I headed to the Casco Bay Lines Terminal to catch a ride over to House Island for Liz and Max’s rehearsal dinner. There were a couple of cute signs around the terminal letting their guests know that yes, you are in the right place, among all the other island hoppers. We could easily pick out who was going to House with us because all the guests were dressed to impress! A mix of Miami, Maine, and Argentina makes for some stylish folks! Once we all arrive at the island, we were greeted with a lovely tent filled with Garden Inspired Farm tables and delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and live reggae music. Liz’s Dad gave the adventurous a tour of the fort on the island, while others hung out and enjoyed the unreal view of Portland. Local lamb was being roasted all day over fire for the meal which was in honor of yummy Argentinean meals that many of the guests were probably already missing, being away from home. It was a perfect intro into the wedding that was to come the following day, for the guests AND for us.

Austin TX Rehearsal Dinner: Kathryn and AJ

Who doesnt love a Rehearsal Dinner on a boat? Amiright?? Kathyrn and AJ had theirs on one but it also included a live band, tacos, and VOODOO DOUGHNUTS! Now you can start feeling jealous if your that kind of person. We cruised around on the Lady Bird Lake, enjoying the good food, good music, and city lights. Not a bad way to start a wedding weekend.

Amanda and Ian’s Rehearsal Dinner at Sugarbush

Amanda and Ian invited all their guests to a “Welcome Party” at the CastleRock Pub at Sugarbush. Since every single guest was out of town it was simply a pre-wedding event where they could all gear up for the following day. There were delicious treats to eat, fun decorations, tasty drinks, and lots of love. We even found a few minutes to take the two of them away for some night shots right outside. Oddly enough we had never met either of them until this day so we were impressed at how easy and open they were in just 10 minutes of photographing them. We are so glad we DID meet them too because they are dolls. Just you WAIT for the wedding.

Andrea and Mikes New Hampshire Lake Rehearsal Dinner

Andrea and Mike asked us to attend their wedding rehearsal in addition to theirÂ rehearsal dinner. This was a first for us, which is always exciting! We loved getting a chance to get to know the location, the light, and time frame for the wedding ceremony. Better still was the opportunity to get to know some of their guests and family before the day of. Since we had so much time with them, we were able to learn who everyone was and many of their personal connections to Mike and Andrea, which made the following day more meaningful to us, being able to understand who and why they were there.

The day started at the camp they were having the ceremony and reception. Later we headed over to the Fireside Inn for a fun dinner with their far out of town guests. Right before we left Andrea ran after us with a welcome goodie bag that she made for us. It was the perfect way to start the wedding weekend.Â
